When a wedding cannot be better

Last 12 years me and Thomas photographed many weddings in Norway and abroad. We use to say that we were extreme lucky with our couples. We have never experienced any problems and we think that all our weddings were so beautiful. Behind every wedding is a long period with preparing, planning, choosing, thinking, creating... Every bride and groom want their wedding to be perfect. Some prioritise wedding dress, some food, some DJ, others photographers ;) Thomas was interviewed several times by Norwegian wedding magazines and answer always the same: it is smart to think about photographer as an important part of the day. It is very simple to answer: why? Well, cake will be eaten, make up removed, tears dried and decoration will lay on the floor... Day after wedding the only truth is on the memory card. People became good in taking pictures. We can take really nice shots with our iPhones. But still asking a family member to be responsible for wedding shots is a risky business. Guest will not have the same focus. He or she is not trained to observe and catch a moment. So even though we also have developed our style - thanks God! ;) - and make some mistakes, it is nothing comparing to pictures one cannot use or pictures which are not there.

Wherever we traveled, whomever was our client and no matter how much money our clients spent on their wedding, our goal was one: to take the best shots. We often sacrificed our clothes and shoes and did a lot of crazy things to take unforgettable pictures.

But sometimes you are so lucky that wedding goes smoothly like you couldn't imagine. I mean everything is perfect. Weather is beautiful. Place is amazing. People friendly. And wedding couple stunning.

None of us are perfect. We all have strong sides if it comes to being photographed. Believe me we do have, even though you might think: not me. Part of photographer´s role is to catch it. We can look like: it is not my best day, so-so, or I am a king of the world. 

And here I come to a very funny conclusion. Some people have unfortunately everything :) and they do look amazing what so ever. We still hope that is is partly thanks to our work, but... Well look at those two; Julie and Bjarte. It was a lovely wedding with magical photo-session. I present just few of many beautiful pictures that were taken that day.
